Low-Owned Picks for Gameweek 12

Draft fantasy football picks for gameweek 12

We’ve opened a Discord community for Draft Fantasy. The best place to talk fantasy football with others!

Gameweek 11 closed with one of the most incredible spectacles in Chelsea's eventual 4-1 victory over 9-man Spurs, bringing with it the kind of draft fantasy football tales of guts, glory and despair that will no doubt go down in history. Dodging all of that fiasco, our low-owned Palace picks in Marc Guehi and Jordan Ayew returned last week. We go again this week with high hopes for another strong showing. Don’t forget to vote below on your pick of the punts this week.

Tino Livramento (NEW) DEF Ownership: 21.3% Next Fixture: BOU (A)
There's no doubt that Eddie Howe's Toon Army continue to impress, but even with their financial backing, the Physio's overtime invoice will be starting to hurt the clubs wallet. No fewer than 11 first team players are currently on the injury/suspension list and this has started to open doors for the next wave of Newcastle starlets to get on the grass. One of the most coveted of these will surely be Tino Livramento. An attacking right back by trade, but deployed high up the pitch in their midweek loss in the Champions League, young Tino represents excellent value if you can pick him up. A trip to a Bournemouth side that are doing well to get themselves into trouble this year awaits the England U21s International and should Howe opt for a similar 11 to midweek, I'm backing big returns.

Joel Veltman (BHA) Ownership: 19.8% Next Fixture: SHU (H)
Another team to seemingly suffer from the additional fixtures that success brings with it, Brighton are short in supply at the back and with James Milner and Lewis Dunk injured midweek and the prodigal Pervis Estupinan lasting just a few minutes before bouncing straight back to the injury list, Brighton will need all the defenders they can muster. I'm opting for Joel Veltman in their plum home fixture against Sheffield United this week. Not shy of the occasional attacking return, Veltman is someone I've got my eye on ahead of the weekend.

Leandro Trossard (ARS) MID Ownership: 54% Next Fixture: BUR (H)
This pick is slightly unusual for low-owned picks in that Trossard was someone I was really keen to get on draft day and even went fairly high up the order (round 5, I believe). With a goal in midweek and Nketiah blowing hot or cold, if Trossard makes it in to the side, I'd back him for points. Another of this weeks picks with a great fixture, a home encounter vs a struggling Burnley side screams points. If the Belgian is still available, I'd recommend gambling on the minutes and picking him up.

Lucas Paqueta (WHU) MID Ownership: 42.4% Next Fixture: NFO (H)
Until the rumours around the Brazilians off-field issues emerged, I was keen on bringing Lucas Paqueta in to my side. If Pep thinks Paqueta is good enough for his squad, then he's good enough for mine. Going on a great run of form towards the tail end of last season, I'm hoping to see Paqueta show up alongside the likes of Kudus and Bowen in oppositions penalty areas and last nights goal in the Europa League bodes well for this prospect. For those who recently missed out on Kudus, Paqueta may well soften the blow.

Scott McTominay (MUN) FWD Ownership: 21.6% Next Fixture: LUT (H)
Having finally exhausted the list of strikers, I'm going to have to go for the next best thing this week and that of course is Scott McTominay. So, at best, young Scot divides opinion, but if his recent form continues, he's starting to look like Utd's most likely route to goals, either poaching within the penalty area himself or teeing up for Rasmus up top. Unlucky not to take 3 points last week vs Liverpool, Luton are no slouches, but there away form remains poor and surely even a dumpster fire of a Utd side must be capable of putting a couple past them…..mustn't they?

That will do it for this week from Draft Fantasy! Best of luck on the waiver wire!
